| The Chignik Bay Tribal
Council receives funds from HUD for weatherization of
homes and in the past we have used some of the funds to
purchase fuel for eligible applicants. In 2003, we completed weatherization upgrades on two homes and
in 2004 we have completed weatherization upgrades to a home
of an Elder.
To apply for NAHASA
funds, you must fill out an application and the Tribe
forwards it to the Bristol Bay Housing Authority, where
the review of applications occurs. To be qualified you must be a year
round resident of Chignik Bay, a Chignik Bay Tribal
member, be determined low income or your home is not up
to HUD standards. For an application, please contact
